My Bio

Family:  Olivia and I have six children, three terrific daughters-in-law and five grandchildren.  

Career:  I worked with Focus on the Family for twenty years where I served as Group Vice President over all media and communications including publishing, films, broadcasting, marketing, and audio drama.  In 2007 I accepted the call to become Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Lake Pointe Church near Dallas where we pioneered the HomePointe strategy for creating a culture of intentional families.  In 2016 I accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer for a Global NGO that serves persecuted Christians.    

Writing:  I have written over twenty non-fiction books with combined sales of over 700,000 copies and three dystopian novels authored in collaboration with Dr. James Dobson.  

Academics:  I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Theology from Talbot Seminary and served on adjunct faculty at Dallas Theological Seminary where I lectured in the Th.M. and D.Min. programs.
